This Privacy Policy explains how ProbateParalegalCA.com (the “Site,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and discloses information when you use the public website or document-preparation portal.

1. Information We Collect

• Case and document information: case number, case name, county or court information, hearing dates, party information, factual statements, instructions, messages, and other information you submit for document preparation.
• Uploaded files: petitions, probate notes, orders, accountings, declarations, exhibits, and other documents you choose to upload.
• Transaction information: quoted amount, payment provider, payment status, provider reference information, and dates related to payment. We do not ask you to enter full payment-card or bank-account numbers into this Site.
• Technical information: IP address, browser/device information, login timestamps, security logs, and audit information used to operate and protect the portal.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to create and manage accounts; receive document requests; prepare, revise and deliver requested documents; communicate about quotes, payments, missing information, and completion; operate and secure the Site; maintain records; prevent misuse; and comply with applicable legal obligations.

3. Legal and Sensitive Case Information

Probate and conservatorship documents may contain sensitive personal or financial information. Please provide only information reasonably necessary for the requested document. Unless specifically requested for the document, do not submit full Social Security numbers, full financial-account numbers, passwords, payment-card numbers, medical records, or other unnecessary sensitive information. Redact information when appropriate.

4. Payments

Online payments are processed on a third-party payment provider’s hosted website. The Site may store the provider name, payment link, transaction reference, amount, and payment status, but is not designed to collect or store your full credit-card or bank-account credentials.

5. Service Providers

We may use hosting, email-delivery, payment-processing, security, backup, and technology service providers to operate the Site. Those providers may process information as needed to perform services for us and are subject to their own contractual and privacy obligations.

6. When Information May Be Disclosed

We may disclose information when you direct us to do so; to service providers supporting the Site; to protect the Site, our users, or others; to investigate fraud or misuse; or when disclosure is required by law, court order, subpoena, or other lawful process. We do not sell payment information.
